1 Comment on Our First NaPro Appointment

I decided after having gone through a failed IVF cycle and a miscarriage after going through IVF, that I was NOT going to do IVF again. We decided to try NaPro Technologies. If you didn’t hear, we didn’t get pregnant through IVF. Our miracle baby, Kason, was not conceived in a petri dish. We got …

When Kason was born, I realized how many harmful chemicals he was going to be exposed to. That terrified me. This pure little baby boy who came directly from heaven was now going to be exposed to smoke, harmful chemicals on his skin, and other toxins in the air. It got me thinking and doing …

5 Comments on Low impact exercises during IVF and IUI

I hear from a lot of women going through fertility treatments that they aren’t sure what exercises are okay during treatments. I first want to point out that if you are already consistently working out before treatments, you should be fine to still exercise during your treatments. These are also great if you are just …

With thanksgiving coming up I wanted to write a little about going through infertility and having a thankful heart. When going through a trial, like infertility, it’s hard to have a thankful heart. It can be so challenging to find something to be thankful for when all you want is to become a mom or …

Chase and I both felt like we shouldn’t go into debt to pay for our IVF cycle. I’ve had this strong feeling that we needed to become debt free. I always heard this voice in my head… “you really shouldn’t go on that trip because you’re in debt,” or “you really shouldn’t buy this because …

The two week wait requires lots of patience and strength. The days following Embryo Transfer are known as the dreaded Two Week Wait (TWW). You wait until your period starts or your hCG beta blood test to determine if you’re pregnant or not. About 5 days after Embryo Transfer I started getting period like cramps. …

The wait for embryo transfer (Friday to Sunday) wasn’t too bad. Trying to get a lot of cleaning done at home so I didn’t have to do it the following week. I was wanting to attend church but Chase was worried that our embryo’s would be affected if I went and had all those smells …

After we triggered ovulation on Sunday night right at at 10 p.m. The clinic gave me a list of things I had to do before my egg retrieval appointment that took place on Tuesday. First time ever seeing a positive pregnancy test – too bad it was only the hCG trigger shot. Here’s what they …

  • I’ve read that if you keep your feet warm (after you ovulate) it keeps your uterus warm which promotes the embryo to implant. It also says to eat warm food and keep your abdomen warm during that time. Have you tried that before and have it work? I’d love to know.

  • I’ve been seeing my NaPro doctor on and off for the past 3 months. He did several ultrasounds (himself I might add) to see if I had follicles growing, to see what position my uterus is in, and check to see if I ovulated. We did blood tests to check my progesterone and estrogen levels.
.
My follicles weren’t getting big enough (around 19-22mm) and they like them between 23-25mm. My progesterone declined drastically a few days after my LH surge. Once I saw that, I knew my period was going to start.
.
So they put me on Clomid for a few cycles as well as progesterone suppositories. The goal is to have bigger better quality eggs, and a higher progesterone level.
.
The beginning of December I started taking 2 additional supplements; Taurine, and Turmeric. Taurine is needed for early human development (preimplantation), and needed if you are suffering from excessive estrogen, it is also supposed to help reverse insulin resistance. Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant and is an anti-inflammatory and have read it helps with women who have endometriosis. 🤞🏻Hoping these along with Clomid help some eggs grow to be the right size!
  • She was Powerful is an inspiring quote for any woman (or girl) looking for some inspiration on some dark days. Sometimes we have to go on strongly despite the fear that’s inside us.

  • Why would hate such a burden to bear? Have you ever thought of that? Is it a burden to love then too? How do you feel with feelings of anger and hate inside you vs feelings of love, compassion, and charity? Can love and hate survive together, no. I think we feel more burdens with feelings of anger, hate, and resentment, than with love. I’ve learned a lot about the power of words and how they impact ice (yes, ice of all things) and plants. If words can impact plants and ice then they most definitely can impact our hearts and other people. So today i’m remembering to love more and to work towards being anti-racist, watching my language, the shows I watch, by teaching our children to be anti-racist, and by standing by my friends of color, because LOVE is more powerful than hate.
